DUBAI – Qatar Airways has announced a major expansion of its international network, confirming that it will operate services to more than 150 destinations from June 16, 2026.
The updated summer 2026 schedule strengthens connectivity from Doha, adding new routes and increasing flight frequencies across key global markets. The move is designed to enhance travel options for passengers during the busy summer season while improving overall network efficiency. The revised timetable will remain valid until September 15, 2026.
The airline’s latest announcement comes alongside earlier updates to its passenger flexibility policies, as Qatar Airways continues to manage operational adjustments linked to regional airspace conditions. In previous developments, the carrier had already extended free date-change options and refund eligibility for affected travellers. The summer expansion now signals a gradual stabilisation of operations alongside strategic growth.
Revised schedule
The revised schedule introduces increased frequencies on multiple routes to and from Doha, improving connectivity between major international hubs. Qatar Airways said the enhanced network will allow passengers greater flexibility when planning travel, particularly during peak summer demand. Passengers with confirmed bookings on flights within the new schedule will be notified directly with updated flight information. The airline has advised travellers to regularly check its official website or mobile application to stay informed, while ensuring their contact details remain current to receive timely updates.
What passengers should know
For travellers holding confirmed bookings between 28 February and 15 September 2026, Qatar Airways has reiterated its flexible travel provisions. These include complimentary date changes when rebooking on Qatar Airways-operated flights, subject to availability and fare conditions, with new travel dates permitted up to 31 October 2026.
If flights are impacted, passengers remain eligible for further fee-free changes within the same timeframe or may request refunds for unused tickets. Refund processing may take up to 28 working days, according to the airline.
The carrier has also reminded passengers not to proceed to airports without valid confirmed tickets, noting that schedules remain subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, or safety-related factors.
